Ingredients
- 1 slice of bread
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Steps
- Use a round cookie cutter or the rim of a glass to cut a hole in the center of the bread slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
- Place the bread in the skillet and let it toast for about a minute.
- Crack the egg into the hole of the bread.
- Cook until the egg sets on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the bread and egg carefully to cook the other side, about 1-2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
